News:

According to the 2020 Universal Periodic Review from the United Nations, the human rights challenges in Croatia relate to, among others:

Equal access to education including to children in vulnerable and disadvantaged situations such as children with disabilities and the Roma children;
Lack of effective remedies especially against the trafficking of women and children, domestic violence, and unsolved cases of missing persons;
Equal access to public services for all ethnicities and minorities;
Domestic violence and violence against women;
Equal employment of women, persons with disabilities, and the Roma population;
Reduction of overcrowding in prisons and improvement of detention conditions
