The Human Rights Academy is an active participant in the European DARE network (Democracy and Human Rights Education in Europe). The DARE Network is a Europe-wide network of primarily NGOs, academic institutions and training providers devoted to promote active democratic citizenship and human rights through formal education, non-formal and informal education, and life-long learning. The network consists of 36 organizations working with education in democracy and human rights in 26 countries. The network was established in 2003 with the aim of strengthening voluntary organizations in Europe that work with such teaching and the cooperation between them. An important goal is also to influence the EU and the Council of Europe's policy in this area.
The major challenges facing Europe in relation to radicalization, extremism, populism and fake news were the themes for discussions in the Between Radicalization and Populism in Europe conference organized by the Human Rights Academy (MRA) in collaboration with the DARE (Democracy and Human Rights Education in Europe).
