Human Rights Lens (2019-2020)

Aim: To raise knowledge about the international human rights system among the young people in the Northwest of Russia. 

To challenge the youth to reflect on the local human rights situation with the help of photo camera.

  • Activities: Workshops on human rights and photography in the regions of the Northwest Russia (Kaliningrad, Pskov, Veliky Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Leningrad oblast, Murmansk, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk), and Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway).
  • Partners: Institute of Law n.a. Prince Oldenburgsky/ School projects initiative (St. Petersburg); legal clinics/ law faculties of the Universities in the Northwest Russia; regional ombudsmen in human rights; Swedish International Liberal Centre (SILC), Karakallion school (Espoo).
