Projects in Czechia

Aim: Increase the level of civic and political participation of migrants and Czech citizens with migrant backgrounds, residing in Prague.

According to the 2023 Universal Periodic Review from the United Nations, the human rights challenges in The Czech Republic relate to, among others:

Racism and hate crimes against Muslims, Roma, migrants, and other minorities both online and offline;
Trafficking in women and girls for sexual exploitation;
Equal representation of women at all levels of public administration, particularly in decision-making positions;
Prevention and prosecution of domestic and sexual-based violence;
Corporal punishment of children in all settings, including education and the home;
Inclusion and integration of Roma people in the education, employment, housing, and health sectors;
Discrimination and hate crimes based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics
